Point from Muranga SEAL

City Stars - Muranga SEAL

Visiting Muranga SEAL forced hosts Nairobi City Stars to a 0-0 draw in a round 15 National Super League (NSL) game played at Camp Toyoyo, Jericho on Monday 18 November, 2019.

Muranga SEAL mustered the game well in the first half and sat back as City Stars did the running at them.

Their game planned worked well as returning Anthony Kimani and sensational Oliver Maloba were kept away from the ball disjointing the City Stars attack.

At the onset of the second half play maker Elvis Ojiambo was introduced for Davis Agesa pushing Kimani forward to support Ebrima Sanneh.

Entry of Jimmy Bageya for a neutralised Maloba brought fire to the game as the Uganda made good runs into the box.

But in fading Jericho light, it is City Stars that had the better of chances and will have to rue two headed attempts sent above bar by Sanneh in the dying minutes of the game.

The latest draw follows on a similar result on Friday where City Stars was held to barren draw by Ushuru at Hope Centre, Kawangware.

The point earned took the team to the 37-point mark to remain six points clear of second placed Nairobi Stima who managed a 1-1 draw away to Shabana in Gusii County, and Vihiga United who rose to the 31-point mark with a walkover from Kenya Police.
