Attacking midfielder Rowland Makati improved his goal tally this season to five after aiding Nairobi Stima to a 2-1 win over AP Bomet at the Camp Toyoyo on Saturday 26 June 2021.
Makati, on a season-long loan to Stima from Nairobi City Stars – alongside defensive mid Ronney Kola – struck minutes to halftime to give the hosts a 1-0 lead at the breather.
AP Bomet leveled the game mid through the second half but later on Stima grabbed all points with the winning goal through Tevin Opondo.
Makati’s latest goal follows his winning one against Mt. Kenya at Camp Toyoyo. Stima won that duel 2-1.
“When you send a player on loan what you want to hear is that they are earning playtime. If they score and aid the team to a win, then that’s a very big plus,”
“We are happy at Makati’s progress as well as that of Kola who has been a regular in the Stima squad,” commented Samson Otieno, City Stars team coordinator
From the AP Bomet win, Stima is 17th with 26 points from 24 rounds of games.
