    Mungai, ‘Shitu’ return against Homeboyz

    Keeper Elvis Ochoro, left back Herit Mungai, fielder Ronney Kola, and center back Salim Shitu Abdallah, are all back in the squad as Nairobi City Stars plots for Kakamega Homeboyz on Wednesday 26 April 2023 Kasarani Annex starting 1 p.m. during a match day 27 FKF Premier League match.

    All four missed the last tie at the same venue against Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday. City Stars won it 2-1.

    Ochoro, Kola, and Salim take up the places of Jacob Osano, suspended Clifford Ouma to yellow card accumulation, and Anthony Kimani who is unavailable.

    Mungai, missing from match-day squads in the last two games against Vihiga Bullets and Sharks, returns to take up the place of Calvin Masawa.

    Three changes against Vihiga Bullets

    Three changes have been made to the squad that lost 4-2 to Kenya Police last time out ahead of Nairobi City Stars’ matchday 25 Kenyan league match against Vihiga Bullets on Sunday 16 April 2023 in Kasarani Annex starting 1 p.m. 

    Regular starting keeper Jacob Osano – who has tended goal since matchday nine, left back Herit Mungai, and midfielder Elvis Noor Ojiambo have been rested for the Bullets game.

    Their places have been taken up by keeper Elvis Ochoro, center-back Timothy Muganda, and Ronney Kola, in that order.

    While Ochoro and Kola return after a game out, Muganda – still angling for his toplight debut – is back after sitting out three games against KCB, Posta Rangers, and Kenya Police.

    Trio back against Kenya Police

    There will be three changes from the squad that faced Posta Rangers on Easter Sunday ahead of a matchday 24 FKF Premier League clash away to Kenya Police at the Police Sacco Stadium on Wednesday 12 April 2023 starting at 3.15 p.m.

    Keeper Stephen Njunge, defensive midfielder Clifford Ouma, and attacking midfielder Mohammed Bajaber have all made the 20-man squad.

    The trio takes up the places of keeper Elvis Ochoro, defensive midfielder Ronney Kola, and striker Levis Okello who started the last game.

    Save for the three changes, the other 17 players have all maintained their places in the squad.

    Four changes have been made ahead of Nairobi City Stars historic 23rd round FKF Premier League clash with Posta Rangers set for Police Sacco Stadium, South C on Sunday 9 April 2023 starting 3 p.m.

    From the squad that faced KCB in mid-week, keeper Steve Njunge, defender Rowland Makati, and forward Mohamed Bajaber have been rested.

    Also out, for the first time since matchday two, is regular defensive-mid Clifford Ouma.

    The places of the four have been taken by defender Edwin Buliba and midfielder Vincent Owino who were both suspended from the last game.

    Keeper Elvis Ochoro is also in for City Stars first ever tie at the Police Sacco Stadium as well as flyer James Mazembe.

    Two changes against Mathare United

    Newly signed forwards James Mazembe and Levis Barasa Okello have made the cut and are part of the 20-man squad to face Mathare United in Kasarani Annex on Wednesday 29 March 2022 during FKF Premier League matchday 21 starting at 3.15 p.m.

    The two are the notable and only changes from the squad that faced Wazito in the last round of league games in mid-March 2023 in Muhoroni.

    The duo takes up the places of keeper Elvis Ochoro who is rested for the Mathare game and left-back Dennis Wanjala who is unwell.

    Mazembe and Okello joined Simba wa Nairobi during the just-ended mid-transfer window on loan from KCB and Kakamega Homeboyz, respectively.
