Goalkeeper Edwin Mukolwe’s star continued to shine after being named the FKF Premier League Fan’s Player of the Week at the conclusion of matches on Sunday 21 April 2024.

He scores a first in being the only Nairobi City Stars player to be voted for the accolade this season, thus far.
Mukolwe was named the man of the man of the match after Simba wa Nairobi hit FC Talanta 3-0 in Machakos on Saturday.
Mukolwe was named the match MVP after stopping two penalties from Alex Juma and Michael Jairo in the 58th and 86th minutes.

He was later named in the MD27 team of the week alongside team mates Elvis Noor Ojiambo and Dennis Oalo who scored a goal apiece.

With ten clean sheets from 21 league appearances this season, Mukolwe is listed as one of the goalkeepers in the league.

On this he commented, stating;
“I am over the moon actually. I am always happy to help the team whenever I am called upon. I am super pleased with the effort from the boys. Teamwork carried the day!,”

Mukolwe, in just his first season with Simba wa Nairobi, has clocked 1,890 regular time minutes equating to 62% of minutes this season.
