Two changes against Sofapaka

Newly recruited striker Dennis Oalo and central midfielder Vincent Owino are in line for their debuts after being named in the 20-man squad for a matchday 19 tie against Sofapaka on Saturday 11 March 2023.

Oalo, Owino join City Stars

Striker Dennis Ochieng Oalo and central midfielder Vincent Otieno Owino have joined Nairobi City Stars.

The two arrive from FC Talanta whom they featured for in the first leg of the season.

“Oalo is in to boost our forward line while Owino comes in to solidify our midfield as well as give a punch to the forwards as he is known to make forays up to join the attack,”

“We believe that with their addition we will improve on our final third that lacked sharpness in the first leg.” said City Stars coach Nicholas Muyoti

The two arrivals join returning center-back Salim Shitu Adballah as the latest members to Simba wa Nairobi.

Nairobi City Stars held home team Bidco United to a 0-0 draw to register a fifth clean sheet during an FKF Premier League matchday 18 tie played at Kasarani Annex on Tuesday 7 March 2023.

No goals on the evening in the opening game of the second leg meant City Stars are yet to put a goal past Bidco United as hosts for a third time in as many seasons.

Six changes for Bidco United clash

Midfielders Anthony Muki Kimani, Ronney Kola, and Mohammed Bajaber, as well as striker Samuel Kapen, are all back in the City Stars squad for the upcoming round 18 clash against Bidco United in Kasarani Annex on Tuesday 7 March 2023 starting 3 pm. 

Muki returns after six games out, Bajaber after three games, while Kapen and Kola had been out for the last two games. All four had varied injuries.

Centreback Salim Abdallah who re-signed for the team recently after a short break also makes the squad.

Elvis Noor Ojiambo is the last addition. Fielded in the first 16 games of the first leg, Elvis sat out the final game of the first leg against Ulinzi Stars due accumulation of yellow cards.

The other 15 players maintained their positions for the Tuesday duel.
