Host Nairobi City Stars fell 2-0 to the hands of visiting Kayole Youth during a friendly tie held at a slippery surface at Ligi Ndogo grounds on Wednesday 30 March 2022.
Theohyill Otieno opened the scores in the 14th minute before Austin Ochieng scored doubled matters from the penalty spot in the 34th minute for Kayole to register the win.
City Stars gave a runout to most players bringing on a fresh set for the second half.
“Kayole managed the game well under the conditions and have some young and exciting players in midfield.” said City Stars head coach after the game
“As for my team, I am disappointed at their game approach and the final result.” he added
The friendly follows on another last Thursday that ended 3-3 against Kariobangi Sharks in Utalii
City Stars was using the recent friendly games in preparation for a reverse tie against Bandari on Saturday 2 April 2022 starting 1 pm in Ruaraka.
