Skippers Masawa, Muki back in training

Overall Nairobi City Stars skipper Calvin Masawa in a past game at Camp Toyoyo in Feb 2020

After suffering recent knocks, Calvin Masawa and Anthony Muki Kimani, the overall and field skippers at Nairobi City Stars, respectively, are no back in training.

Muki suffered a shoulder injury the week before a trip to Wundayi against Sofapaka in late January while Masawa picked a quad tear just before the Posta Rangers a week earlier.

“Masawa and Muki are now back in training with the rest of the squad and its a matter of time before they get out of their conditions,” said team doc Brian Otieno Odongo

Sven Yidah, who suffered a knock against Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani is still on rehab and is soon to be discharged for full training.

The same applies to utility back Edwin Buliba who picked a thigh strain before a January game against Posta Rangers.

“He (Sven) is coming along very well and on Friday (12th Feb) he will be done with rehab then he can start normal ball work,”

“As for Edu, he has about a week to complete his rehab

Away from the captains, Sven and Buliba, the rest of the lot is fully fit.
