    Dennis Wanjala: We are more cohesive than before

    Left-back Dennis Wanjala aka Decha registered his debut goal for Nairobi City Stars in the 5-2 rout of Vihiga Bullets in Kasarani Annex on Sunday 16 April 2023 during a matchday 25 FKF Premier League tie.

    Decha, featuring in his 14th game of the season – and 36th since joining City Stars last season – fired in a low drive in the 17th minute for Simba wa Nairobi’s third goal after being teed up by Andrew Kisilu.

    “I am pleased to have finally found the back of the net for City Stars. The goal is now my motivator to improve my performance in the upcoming games,” said Decha

    Beyond, Wanjala is now rallying the rest of the lot to come out and make a difference as the league gets to the business end.

    I urge my teammates to step it up in the remaining games. We don’t want to make it easy for our upcoming opponents. Our points are not for the taking,”

    Commenting on the state of the team, Decha had this to say;

    “The team is alot more cohesive than before and everyone is ready and confident to represent the club. That is key to our course.” he added

    In the current season, Wanjala has featured in 14 games and has clocked 1,081 minutes. Besides his debut goal, he has provided two assists and a second assist.
