Nairobi City Stars will conclude the season with a matchday 34 FKF Premier League game against FC Talanta in Kasarani Annex on Sunday 12 June 2022 starting 1 pm.
From the original fixtures, the tie was to be held at the Utalii Grounds which has since been barred from hosting league games due to the lack of a perimeter fence.
“Season-ending games are always played in unique venues, and kick-off at the same time. However, five teams will be hosting games in the five available venues in Nairobi (Nyayo, Kasarani Annex, KAsarani Main, Ruaraka, and its environs (Thika Stadium),” said team coordinator Samson Otieno
“As such, were to either go out of town or seek a double header in one of the booked venues. Part of what informed our decision to go for such an arrangement is that the game will have no magnitude to either title or relegation fight as the tie remains a formality fixture.” added Otieno
The two sides faced off at the same venue during the first leg in early January 2022. City Stars won that duel 2-1.
