Nairobi City Stars will host Tusker in a matchday nine 2024/25 FKF Premier League tie in Machakos on Saturday 23 November, 2024 starting at 1 p.m.
Simba wa Nairobi last hosted the ale boys back on 15 May 2024 at the Police Sacco Stadium, South C, in a game they rallied from two goals down to share the spoils 2-2 with goals from Samuel Kapen and Mohammed Bajaber.
The upcoming tie will be the 31st premiership game between the two sides since the year 2004, and will be the first game that City Stars will be hosting Tusker in Machakos since 27 Feb 2016, some 3,193 days ago.
That game ended in a 1-2 loss for the hosts who’s consolation came off Tusker defender Eugene Asike (own goal). Ekaliana Ndolo levelled for Tusker setting the tone for Humphrey Mieno score the winning goal.
Narrowed down, it will be the 17th tie that Simba wa Nairobi will be hosting Tusker FC. From the previous games, Tusker has managed eight wins compared to two for the hosts. The other six have been drawn. The last four home games against Tusker have all ended in draws for City Stars.

City Stars head to the upcoming game on back of two contiguous wins over Gor Mahia (2-1), and Shabana (0-1) while Tusker came to the game with a 1-1 draw against Ulinzi Stars, and a 3-2 loss to KCB.
On the log, Tusker is seventh with nine points, with a point on Simba wa Nairobi who are down at 13th spot.
On the touchline, coach Nicholas Muyoti of City Stars will for the first time matchup with Tusker’s Charles Okere in the premiership.
