The first tie played on 17 December 2020, held at the Utalii grounds, was the first-ever between the two in the Premier League. It ended 0-0.
Then, City Stars was coached by Sanin Alagic who has since left. Nicholas Muyoti is now at the helm and will be coming up against Anthony Akhulia for yet another matchup.
During the first leg tie this season, held at the same venue back in October 2021, Muyoti’s charges hit ‘visiting’ Bidco 2-0 at the Thika Stadium.
