Goalkeeper Jacob Osano is back at Nairobi City Stars after taking time off in search of greener pastures at Ethiopian Premier League side Ethiopian Coffee (Bunna).
Osano, who made his Kenyan Premier League bow in the ended 2021/22 season, was hopeful of securing a place in Ethiopia but after slightly over a week he is back.
“He had permission from the club to head out to Ethiopia and try his luck but after slightly over a week he is back with us,”
“He had a stellar first season in the Kenyan top flight and went on to register 13 clean sheets. That made him a man on demand and was scouted by a number of local and foreign clubs,” said club CEO Patrick Korir
Speaking on the same, head coach Nicholas Muyoti said: “His time to move will come. In the meantime, we welcome him back in our fold and urge him to refocus on the tasks ahead of us.”
In the ended 2021/22 FKF Premier League season, Osano featured in 29 of 34 games clocking 2,610 minutes.
For yet another season, Osano will compete with Stephen Njunge and Elvis Ochoro for playtime in the upcoming season.
