Nairobi City Stars head coach Nicholas Muyoti is out to fix a concern during the ongoing 15-day recess between Premier League games ahead of the next assignment against Bandari on Saturday 2 April 2022 in Ruaraka.
In the last game on 17th March, City Stars went down 1-0 to the same Bandari at Mbaraki Sports Club following a goal at the stroke of halftime.
Commenting on that outcome, Muyoti said;
“We didn’t create much in the final third, though our build-up was good and we managed to get set pieces but didn’t make use of them,”
“Defensively we did well, but conceded through lack of marking and not being able to track the opponent,”
“We need to work ón tightening our defense and create more opportunities to score goals,” he added
In the last three league games, City Stars played without lead striker Ezekiel Odera who leads the scorers’ charts with six goals. He is now available for the upcoming games.
Muyoti admits his availability will be key for the remainder of the league games.
“Odera will be back. We missed him in the last three matches. His leadership from the front has been lacking. His comeback will be a big morale booster.” concluded Muyoti
Odera grabbed a hat trick on Thursday as City Stars drew with home team Karibangi Sharks 3-3 in a friendly game played at the Utalii grounds.
